Casa Dei Delfini Rethymno

The old town of Rethymno is the jewel of Crete, it is a combination of Renaissance and Oriental physiognomy and architecture, the heart of which crosses “Nikiforou Foka” Street, the main street of the old city.
At that street, at number 66-70, the restoration of two neighboring historic buildings of the Venetian and Ottoman period created the Boutique Hotel ''Casa dei Delfini'' (house of dolphins) whose facade includes two remarkable Renaissance and Ottoman artworks as well as one of the most remarkable reconstructions of Sachnisi, particular elements of the architecture of the old town of Rethymnon.
The surprises of this magnificent Boutique Hotel, reminiscent of a museum, continue in its inner courtyard where we admire the unique stone dolphin pebble, the emergence of two old wells and finally the imposing hall with the five stone columns and arches which has changed many uses over the centuries: monastery dining room, warehouses, stables, olive press and today is a wonderful dining area.
